My name is Sue and it's great to meet you!
I love exploring the beauty of Nature in the local countryside and coastal paths of South Devon. I enjoy finding out about the things I see and collect on my walks so that I can share revelations and ideas to help you get closer to Nature too!
My website, blog, galleries, herb directory and videos are here to inform you and brighten your day as we follow Nature through the seasons. Discover original photographs, articles, poems, healthy recipes, book reviews and free resources for you to enjoy.

ABOUT SPIRAL LEAF
Sue Cartwright founded Spiral Leaf to share the beauty of Nature through her writing, poetry, photography and video productions.
With a passion for exploring and appreciating the natural world, Sue holds infinite love and respect for the integrity of all living things as part of the universal whole. Sue understands that our natural world (and all living things including human beings) have an inalienable right to be protected, appreciated and naturally cared for in harmony with Nature and the wider Universe.
A love for the outside world includes many miles of walking with her Pixel phone camera where she explores the wild and forgotten places. A lifetime of spending time in Nature, reading books and researching the wonders of Nature, Natural Health and Spirituality led to the creation of Spiral Leaf as a way to help others get closer to Nature for all the magical benefits and rewards it brings.
Learning to Grow is a special collection of articles and resources which combine learning about Nature through our lives with Indigenous Teachings, homeschooling principles and other natural pursuits.
Here you will discover a whole library of Nature-inspired content to help you on your way.

INSIDER SECRETS
Some things you may or may not not know about me
01
My love and respect Nature knows no bounds
Since my darling Mum took me to the park in my pram to walk under the trees with the sun shining through the leaves, mesmerising me into sleep.
02
I could read books and take notes all day long
I have read hundreds of books during my lifetime and although that's not many, all told, they are treasures that have enriched my life in many ways.
03
I couldn't survive without my honey and lemon
My go to tonic in the morning and the last thing at night with Ginger and home-grown herbs to cleanse my body, wake me up or help me get to sleep.
04
I dream of being a published author one day
I have been reading, writing and taking notes for as long as I can remember. Not a day goes by without something being written, a book is in the wings ...
Natural Credo
Respect for Nature
Connection to Nature's beauty and light energy as
precious healing entities.
Holistic Approach
Cognitive and conscientious observation, reasoning and rationality for the highest good.
Quality Values
Equity, equality, respect, love, creativity, honesty, kindness and integrity.
Spiritual Truth
Higher consciousness, connectivity, synchronicity, lightwork for a beautiful world.
Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.
John Muir
Thank you for sharing!
