The beautiful ethereal light of an early morning in late Autumn when cold air means water vapour heating up with the Sun creating an atmosphere of pure beauty
The beauty of early morning light;
Sun's rays ethereal, brilliant bright white;
Catching a Spider's web, threaded in fine protein silk;
Strong and extensible, beautiful in its own right.
The sweetest sight, in a sparkling morning light,
Plump and bright, the Rose Hips are out;
A treat for medicinal use, syrup, a nutritional delight;
Share fairly with the birds, this is their Winter food, their natural right.
The Sun rises bringing heat to the earth;
Warm water vapour meets cold air on the ground;
A beautiful mist forms in low-lying clouds;
Cobwebs glisten on tall plants as Spiders wait to catch their breakfast in the early hours.
A work of art, in golden threads and beads of gleaming light;
A carousel of crossing lines in perfect symmetry;
A never-ending network, strung from plant to tree;
Mother Nature never ceases to delight, mesmorising me.
Siilhouette of an ancient tree, stopped me, made me take a breath;
Such beauty, a privilege to see, so magnificent, the majesty;
Grand balances of branch and bough, strong, with an ivy skirt in vibrant green;
A master of time and place, of wisdom and natural grace, pure energy.
Oh, the calm, not yet a cold breath, cooling and crisp;
A low-lying mist, dew heavy on the ground, branches drip;
Birds sing softly in the waking hours, as the Sun rises higher and higher;
Embraced in the vibrancy of Nature, the bliss, the quiet.
As the Sun rose above the hill, streaming rays through the trees;
At the old fence in the lane where the wild hops grow, I paused to breathe;
A tangle of leaves and ivy, glistening in the dew, and the view;
As if moments like these, were made especially for you.
Ivy flowers in dome-shaped clusters bloom from September to November;
Berries are an important food for Winter migrants, like the Redwing;
A source of nectar for Autumn insects, Hornets, Honeybees, Red Admiral Butterflies;
Roosting sites for bats and birds, a home for hibernating insects, and other tiny creatures.
The air was cool and chill;
The light was bright and still;
The mist was beautiful, ethereal;
The morning was quiet and still, the day was fresh and new.
